The following is a List of some of the American Kennel Club wins, points, and Titles of Achievements from the Pointing Bird Dogs at Grand Funks Kennels;
FC AFC Grand Funks Pearl MH; Won the Open Limited Stake in the White Mountains of Arizona August, 2006 (26 starters). Also was Runner Up Champion in the White Mountains Chucker Championship Open Shooting Dog 2005, Terry Chandler Handled Pearl in both of these Stakes with winning results. Pearl sired FC AFC Grand Funks Rocky Road SH.
Rocky won the 5 Point Amateur Gun Dog Retrieving Stake in the White Mountains of Arizona August 2005 (32 starters) handled by Rocky's Owner Victor Funk (This stake also completed Rocky's AKC Amateur Field Championship points) . Rocky also placed in the Open Gun Dog Stake at the same trial. Rocky also sired the AKC National Amateur Runner Up Champion Desert Willow in 2007.
Grand Funks Crystal Sky finished her Field Championship in 2007, all winning Open points were completed with Terry Chandler of Rugerheim Kennels. Forest won one AKC Open Puppy first place, and one Amateur Puppy first place, Marcy also won and AKC Open Puppy Stake and a Amateur Puppy Stake.
At a 2006 Las Cruces AKC Field Trial FC Crystal won First place with Crystal Sky and Second Place with Mellow Yellow (English Pointer) in the AKC Amateur Gun Dog, both of my outstanding Bird Dogs made it around the Bird Course with multiple finds and handled their birds with a classy seasoned style performance. Both Pointing Bird Dogs were handled by their owner Victor Funk.
Mellow Yellow also won Second Place at an American Field Trial in held in Utah the Spring of 2006 as a Puppy Mellow Yellow won First Place in New Mexico American Field Qualifier Trial Open Shoothing Dog Stake, Handled Also by Terry Chandler against much Older Seasoned Pointers.
2007/2008 Terry still has Crystal and says he won alot of Open Limited Stakes with her outstanding Pointing Bird Dog Performance.
FC AFC Pearl MH won a AKC major First Place Southern Arizona GSP Club walking Field Trial held near Sonoita, Arizona on the Empire Ranch in the Open Gun Dog Stake with over 15 starters on Saturday. The next Day on Sunday FC AFC Charla MH won First Place in the Amateur Gun Dog Stake with 20 starters at the same Field Trial with Pearl. Both GSP's were handled by thier owner Victor Funk (There were at least three professional trainers present at this trial).
Grand Funk's FC Bullet won an AKC Five Point Major Open Gun Dog walking/retrieving Stake at Cordes Junction at the Desert GSP Club of Arizona Field Trial. Judges were Bill Gibbons and Ken Hart. There were 28 starters, two different Pro-Trainers with many dogs entered in the same stake. Grand Funk's Bullet took the First Place, and Grand Funk's Rocky took Second Place (Rocky still received 2 Open Points toward his AKC Open Field Championship). Both GSP's were handled by their owner Victor Funk. There were 28 starters, including two Pro Pointing Dog Trainers that also had dogs entered.
Pearl won First Place at a New Mexico Brittany AKC Field Trial in an Amateur Stake that completed his AFC Championship Title handled by his owner Victor Funk.
Charla won her first 3 point Major AKC Amateur Walking Stake near Alberqurque, New Mexico about 13 starters. The next Day Charla also won First Place in the AKC Amateur Limited Walking Stake with about 10 starters.
FC AFC Charla wins First Place at the Arizona Pointing Dog Club Annual Trial of Champions. Two Years Later FC AFC Pearl wins the same First Place at the Arizona Pointing Dog Club Trial of Champions. I do not know if the New Rule has been amended but the Arizona Pointing Club voted to not let any more AKC or American Field Champions of Record Participate in any more Trial of Champion Events after, Grand Funk's Kennels became the Very First to have two different Trial of Champions from the same owner Victor Funk. Holzer's Thunder a Grand Funk's Rocky Sired Pup won the same First Place Trial of Champions 3 years in a row after Thunder's Grand Pa Pearl won it. Then Santini's Nikki won the next Trial of Champions, a puppy purchased directly from Grand Funk's Kennels Bird Dogs.
Grand Funk's Kennels English Pointer wins First Place at the Hosted Utah German Shorthaired Club's Spring AKC Walking Field Trial held in Elberta, Utah on March 6 & 7, 2010. There were 14 Starters and this was a Three Point Amateur Major Points Win for Mellow Yellow. Mellow was Sire is RU Champion Bisco Big from Magma Bird Dogs Kennels in Phoenix, Arizona. The Dam is 3X NSTRA Champion Georgia Lighting Star also from the Phoenix, Arizona area.
